Intern Housing in London, Sorted Before You Land

Starting an internship in London is exciting.

Starting an internship in London is exciting. Finding somewhere to live for exactly three, six or nine months — usually from another city or another country, often without a UK guarantor — is the hard part. That's the part we've taken care of.

Nook offers fully furnished rooms in shared flats across Canary Wharf, Central London, Islington and Whitechapel, with one simple weekly price that covers WiFi, electricity, water and council tax. From £215/week, subject to room availability. Two weeks' deposit. That's it.

Why interns choose Nook

  • Contracts that match your placement. Three months, six months, a full placement year — you rent for the length of your internship, not a landlord's fixed twelve months.
  • Two weeks' deposit. UK landlords can legally ask for up to five weeks. We ask for two, so more of your money stays in your pocket for your first month in London.
  • No furniture runs, no bill setup. Your room comes furnished and the flat is ready to live in. WiFi is on when you arrive. Nobody has to ring a utility company.
  • Move in from abroad. Book your room before you fly. Plenty of our residents sign from overseas and pick up their keys on landing day.
  • Flatmates in the same boat. You'll share with young professionals and postgraduates — people who also just moved to London and actually want to know their flatmates.

What "all-inclusive" actually means

One weekly price covers your furnished room, WiFi, electricity, water and council tax. No agency fees. No surprise service charges. If it's not in your contract, you won't be billed for it — and everything that is included is written down before you sign.

How it works

  1. Browse rooms — see photos, prices and availability for every room. Browse rooms
  2. Book a viewing — in person or a video call if you're not in the UK yet.
  3. Pack your bags and settle in — two weeks' deposit, contract signed online, keys on arrival day.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I rent for just the length of my internship? A: Yes. Our contracts run from three months upwards, so a summer internship, a six-month placement or a full placement year all work. Tell us your dates and we'll match a room.

Q: Do I need a UK guarantor to rent as an intern? A: No UK guarantor is required for most bookings. We'll ask for proof of your internship or placement offer and standard Right to Rent documents.

Q: How much does intern housing in London cost? A: Nook rooms start from £215/week, subject to room availability, with WiFi, electricity, water and council tax included. Comparable rooms in London typically cost more once you add bills on top of advertised rent.

Q: What deposit do I pay? A: Two weeks' rent — held in a government-approved deposit protection scheme, as UK law requires. That's less than half the five-week maximum landlords are allowed to ask for.

Q: Can I book before I arrive in the UK? A: Yes. You can view rooms by video call, sign your contract online and collect your keys when you land. Many of our residents book from abroad.
